കോണ്ഗ്രസ് (ഐ)- പാര്ട്ടിയുടെ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖരായ നേതാക്കളിലൊരാളാണ് രമേശ് ചെന്നിത്തല. നിലവില് പതിനഞ്ചാം കേരള നിയമസഭയില് ഹരിപ്പാട് മണ്ഡലത്തില് നിന്നുള്ള നിയമസഭാസാമാജികന് കൂടിയാണ്. കേരള പ്രദേശ് കോണ്ഗ്രസ് കമ്മിറ്റിയുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റായും സംസ്ഥാന ആഭ്യന്തര- വിജിലന്സ് മന്ത്രിയായും പതിനാലാം കേരള നിയമസഭയില് പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവായും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ‘അറിഞ്ഞതും അറിയാത്തതും’ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മകഥയാണ്.
