RAJEEV CHANDRASEKHAR
Rajeev Chandrasekhar is a prominent political leader, entrepreneur, and former Union Minister who currently serves as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala. A former Member of Parliament, he represented Karnataka in the Rajya Sabha and served in the Union Cabinet as the Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Jal Shakti. He is widely recognized as a pioneering businessman and the founder of BPL Mobile. Within the political sphere, he has held significant roles as a BJP National Spokesperson and as the Vice Chairman of the NDA in Kerala. He is the son of Air Commodore M.K. Chandrasekhar and the son-in-law of T.P.G. Nambiar, the founder of the BPL Group. A major figure in the media industry, he owns Asianet News and Asianet Suvarna News, and also holds investments in Republic TV. Most recently, he contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency.
