INDRA DAS
Indra Das is an award-winning writer and editor from Kolkata, known for his work in speculative fiction and literary fantasy. He is the winner of the Lambda Literary Award, Shirley Jackson Award and British Fantasy Award. His novels, novellas and short fiction have been widely anthologised and published internationally. As an editor, his anthology Deep Dream was nominated for major global awards including the Locus and Ignyte Awards. His work explores myth, history, queerness and the fantastical, earning him a distinctive place in contemporary Indian literature.
കൊല്ക്കത്തയില് നിന്നുള്ള പുരസ്കാര ജേതാവായ എഴുത്തുകാരനും എഡിറ്ററുമാണ് ഇന്ദ്ര ദാസ്. സ്പെക്യുലേറ്റീവ് ഫിക്ഷന്, ഫാന്റസി സാഹിത്യം എന്നീ മേഖലകളിലെ രചനകളിലൂടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രദ്ധേയനായത്. ലാംഡ ലിറ്റററി അവാര്ഡ്, ഷേര്ളി ജാക്സണ് അവാര്ഡ്, ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഫാന്റസി അവാര്ഡ് എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. മിത്തുകള്, ചരിത്രം, ക്വിയര് സ്വത്വങ്ങള് എന്നിവയെ ആസ്പദമാക്കി അദ്ദേഹം രചിക്കുന്ന കൃതികള് ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള പ്രമുഖ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണങ്ങളില് ഇടം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹം എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്ത 'ഡീപ്പ് ഡ്രീം' (Deep Dream) എന്ന സമാഹാരം ആഗോളതലത്തില് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒന്നാണ്.
