GEETHANJALI KRISHNAN
Born in 1962 in Alappuzha district. Father: V N Krishnankutty. Mother: P Ponnamma. She holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from the College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram, and a postgraduate degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani. She is currently employed at Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram. Her travelogue Ettavum Akkalekoru Yathra received the 2007 Devaki Variyar Award. Her study Professional Educationum Keralathile Sthreekalum was awarded the Fellowship of the Network of Women in Media. Her other books include Chempakamaram (poetry) and Neram Pularumbol (essays).
1962-ൽ ആലപ്പുഴ ജില്ലയിൽ ജനിച്ചു. അച്ഛൻ: വി.എൻ. കൃഷ്ണൻകുട്ടി. അമ്മ: പി.പൊന്നമ്മ. തിരുവനന്തപുരം എൻജിനീയറിങ് കോളേജിൽനിന്ന് ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് ആൻഡ് ടെലികമ്യൂണിക്കേഷനിൽ ബിരുദവും പിലാനിയിലെ ബിർലാ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജിയിൽനിന്ന് ബിരുദാനന്തരബിരുദവും നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇപ്പോൾ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ടെക്നോപാർക്കിൽ ജോലിചെയ്യുന്നു. ഏറ്റവും അകലേക്കൊരു യാത്ര എന്ന യാത്രാവിവരണത്തിന് 2007 ലെ ദേവകീവാര്യർ അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. 'പ്രൊഫഷണൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവും കേരളത്തിലെ സ്ത്രീകളും' എന്ന പഠനത്തിന് 'നെറ്റ്വർക്ക് ഓഫ് വിമൻ ഇൻ മീഡിയാ'യുടെ ഫെലോഷിപ് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മറ്റു പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ : ചെമ്പകമരം (കവിതകൾ), നേരം പുലരുമ്പോൾ (ലേഖനങ്ങൾ).
