DECLAN WALSH
Declan Walsh is a Pulitzer Prize-winning foreign correspondent for The New York Times, based in Nairobi. He won the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his groundbreaking coverage of the war in Sudan. Irish-born, he has reported across Africa, the Middle East and South Asia, covering major conflicts and political upheavals. Formerly The Guardian’s Pakistan–Afghanistan correspondent, his investigations — including the Axact degree fraud exposé — ultimately led to his expulsion from Pakistan in 2013. He is the author of The Nine Lives of Pakistan and a recipient of multiple honours, including the George Polk Award and the James Foley Medill Medal for Courage, and lives in Nairobi with his wife and twin sons.

The Nine Lives of Pakistan എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന്റെ രചയിതാവുമാണ്. പത്രപ്രവര്ത്തനത്തിന് വാള്ഷ് നിരവധി വലിയ ബഹുമതികള് നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്പോള് കുടുംബത്തോടൊപ്പം നയ്റോബിയില് താമസിക്കുന്നു.
