കേരളത്തിലെ ഓട്ടോമൊബൈൽ ജേണലിസത്തിന് തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചവരിൽ ഒരാൾ. 'സ്മാർട്ട് ഡ്രൈവി'ന്റെ ചീഫ് എഡിറ്ററും മാനേജിംഗ് ഡയറക്ടറുമായിണ്. മാതൃഭൂമി ദിനപത്രത്തിൽ 'ടോപ് ഗിയർ' എന്ന പ്രതിവാര പംക്തിയിലൂടെയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഈ രംഗത്തേക്ക് കടന്നുവന്നത്. പിന്നീട് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷാ ഓട്ടോമൊബൈൽ മാസികയായ 'ടോപ് ഗിയർ' ആരംഭിക്കാനായി അദ്ദേഹം മാതൃഭൂമിയിൽ നിന്നും രാജിവെച്ചു. 2012-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ആരംഭിച്ച 'സ്മാർട്ട് ഡ്രൈവ്' ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലയളവിനുള്ളിൽ മലയാളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച വാഹന മാസികയായി മാറി. ഒരു ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം കോപ്പികൾ വിറ്റഴിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ മാഗസിൻ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുന്നത് മാതൃഭൂമിയാണ്. വാഹന സംബന്ധിയായ ടെലിവിഷൻ പരിപാടികളിലും അദ്ദേഹം റെക്കോർഡ് നേട്ടങ്ങൾ കൈവരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യാവിഷനിലെ 'ഓട്ടോഷോ' (350 എപ്പിസോഡുകൾ), ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റിലെ 'സ്മാർട്ട് ഡ്രൈവ്' എന്നിവയിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് പ്രിയങ്കരനായി. രണ്ട് പതിറ്റാണ്ടിനിടെ നൂറിലധികം രാജ്യങ്ങളിലായി പതിനയ്യായിരത്തിലധികം വാഹനങ്ങൾ ടെസ്റ്റ് ഡ്രൈവ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. 133 രാജ്യങ്ങൾ സന്ദർശിച്ച മികച്ച ഒരു സഞ്ചാരി കൂടിയായ അദ്ദേഹം കൊച്ചിയിൽ നിന്നും ലണ്ടനിലേക്ക് റോഡ് മാർഗ്ഗം യാത്ര ചെയ്ത ആദ്യ വ്യക്തിയെന്ന റെക്കോർഡിനും ഉടമയാണ്. വാഹനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് രണ്ട് പുസ്തകങ്ങളും 15 യാത്രാ വിവരണങ്ങളും രചിച്ചു. ഇതിൽ 'ലണ്ടനിലേക്ക് ഒരു റോഡ് യാത്ര' എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിന് 2018-ലെ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാർഡ് ലഭിച്ചു. സോഷ്യൽ മീഡിയയിലും സജീവമായ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് വിവിധ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളിലായി 25 ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ഫോളോവേഴ്സുണ്ട്.
