ANJANA SANKAR
Anjana Sankar is an international journalist based in Abu Dhabi who brings more than 20 years of global reporting experience, covering conflict, political transition, migration, and humanitarian crises across Asia, Middle East, and Europe. She has reported on conflicts in Afghanistan, Ukraine, Gaza, Yemen, Syria, and Gaza with a focus on forced displacement, human rights, and international diplomacy. She is the 2024 Elizabeth Neuffer Fellow, chosen by the Washington-based International Women’s Media Foundation, for her human rights reporting. She was a research fellow at MIT and her bylines include The New York Times, The Boston Globe and The National. Previously, she has worked with UAE-based newspapers such as The National, Khaleej Times and Gulf News. She is a regular guest on national and international TV news channels commenting on regional and international politics.
മാധ്യമപ്രവര്ത്തക. അബുദാബി കേന്ദ്രമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഇരുപത് വര്ഷമായി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിഷയങ്ങള് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു. ഏഷ്യയിലും മധ്യപൂര്വേഷ്യയിലും യൂറോപ്പിലുമായി കുടിയേറ്റങ്ങള്, യുദ്ധങ്ങള്, രാഷ്ട്രീയ സംഘര്ഷങ്ങള്, ആഭ്യന്തരകലാപങ്ങള് എന്നിവ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്തു. അഫ്ഗാനിസ്ഥാന്, യുക്രെയ്ന്, ഗാസ, യെമന്, സിറിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളില് നിന്ന് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് ചെയ്ത അനുഭവപരിചയമുണ്ട്. മനുഷ്യാവകാശങ്ങള് സംബന്ധിച്ച റിപ്പോര്ട്ടിങ് പരിഗണിച്ച് വാഷിങ്ടണിലെ ഇന്റര്നാഷണല് വിമന്സ് മീഡിയ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന് എലിസബത്ത് ന്യൂഫര് ഫെല്ലോഷിപ്പ് നല്കി. എം.ഐ.ടിയിലും റിസര്ച്ച് ഫെലോയാണ്. ദി നാഷണല്, ഖലീജ് ടൈംസ്, ഗള്ഫ് ന്യൂസ് എന്നിവയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു. ന്യൂയോര്ക്ക് ടൈംസ്, ദി ബോസ്റ്റണ് ഗ്ലോബ് എന്നിവയ്ക്കുവേണ്ടി എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ടെലിവിഷന് ഷോകളിലെ ചര്ച്ചകളില് സ്ഥിരം സാന്നിധ്യമാണ്.
