A CHANDRASEKHAR
A. Chandrasekhar is a distinguished Indian journalist, author, and film critic with over 32 years of experience in the media industry. Based in Thiruvananthapuram, he has built a reputation as one of Kerala's most insightful commentators on cinema and television.He has been honored with the Kerala State Award five times for his contributions to film and television criticism. His career includes senior editorial roles at major organizations like Amrita TV, Malayala Manorama, and Deepika. Beyond journalism, he has authored over 20 books on cinema and media, including works like "Bodhatheerangalil Kaalam Midikkumbol" and "Mohanlal: Oru Malayaliyude Jeevitham." He is also a former Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and currently serves as the Secretary of the Kerala Film Critics Association and the Padmarajan Trust.
32 വർഷത്തിലേറെയായി മാധ്യമരംഗത്ത് സജീവമായ പ്രമുഖ ചലച്ചിത്ര-ടെലിവിഷൻ നിരൂപകനാണ് എ. ചന്ദ്രശേഖർ. മികച്ച ചലച്ചിത്ര/ടെലിവിഷൻ നിരൂപണത്തിനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡ് അഞ്ച് തവണ അദ്ദേഹം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അമൃത ടിവി, മലയാള മനോരമ, ദീപിക തുടങ്ങിയ പ്രമുഖ മാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ പത്രാധിപ സമിതി അംഗമായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള അദ്ദേഹം സിനിമയെക്കുറിച്ച് ഇരുപതോളം പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഐ.ഐ.എം.സി (IIMC) കോട്ടയം ക്യാമ്പസിൽ അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് പ്രൊഫസറായും അദ്ദേഹം സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നിലവിൽ കേരള ഫിലിം ക്രിട്ടിക്സ് അസോസിയേഷന്റെയും പദ്മരാജൻ ട്രസ്റ്റിന്റെയും സെക്രട്ടറിയായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
