പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ അടൂരില് ജനിച്ചു. വത്സലക്കുഞ്ഞമ്മയുടെയും കെ.ജി. പ്രസന്ന കുമാറിന്റെയും മകള്. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സാഹിത്യത്തില് ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തില് ബിരുദം. മാതൃഭൂമിയില് സബ് എഡിറ്ററായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നു. പുല്ലിംഗം എന്ന കഥാസമാഹാരം പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
