T Pradeep
Thalappil Pradeep is an institute professor and professor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. In 2020 he received the Padma Shri award for his distinguished work in the field of Science and Technology. He has received the Nikkei Asia Prize (2020), The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) prize (2018), and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2008 from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.
മദ്രാസ് ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്‌നോളജിയിലെ രസതന്ത്രവിഭാഗം പ്രൊഫസറും നാനോടെക്‌നോളജിയില്‍ പ്രഗല്ഭനായ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനുമാണ് ഡോ.ടി. പ്രദീപ്. 1963 ജൂലൈ 8 ന് മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ ആലങ്കോട് പന്താവൂരില്‍ ജനനം. വിവിധ വിഷയങ്ങളിലായി നൂറ്റിയെഴുപതോളം പ്രബന്ധങ്ങളും പുസ്തകങ്ങളും രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വിപത്തിന്റെ കാലൊച്ചകള്‍, കുഞ്ഞുകണങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വസന്തം നാനോടെക്‌നോളജിക്കൊരാമുഖം എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹം മലയാളത്തില്‍ എഴുതിയ കൃതികളാണ്. പത്മശ്രീ പുരസ്‌കാരം, ജെ.സി. ബോസ് നാഷണല്‍ ഫെല്ലോഷിപ്പ്, ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയ്ക്കുള്ള ശാന്തി സ്വരൂപ് ഭട്‌നാഗര്‍ സമ്മാനം തുടങ്ങിയ ബഹുമതികള്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെത്തേടിയെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
