Szczepan Kopyt
Szczepan Kopyt is a poet, singer, multi-instrumentalist, activist. He is the author of 8 poetry books, he also recorded several music albums with his poems. Among the writers of ‘socially engaged’ literature, he is mentioned as one of the most important (not only for his generation) figures. In his poems, he tracks various forms of violence – especially the one related to capitalism and social exclusion. His musical style encompassed various genres: from rock through blues to electronic music and techno. Starting with the very first volume of poetry his books were nominated, shortlisted, and received important literary awards (including Poznań Literary Award).
