Sunil P. Ilayidam
Cultural critic and writer. He has written many books and studies on Marxism, art, post-modernism, and history. His public discourses offering a radically new exegesis of the cultural history of Mahabharata drew tremendous responses from audiences, who saw in it a counter to the forces sowing division and hate in society. Professor of Malayalam at Sree Sankaracharya Sanskrit University. 'Deshabhaavanayude Aattaprakaarangal' is published by 'Mathrubhumi books'. He has authored several books including ‘Adhiniveshavum Adhunikathayum’, ‘Kanvazhikal Kazhchavattangal’, ‘Uriyattam’, ‘Damitham’, ‘India Charithra Vignanam’ and ‘Athmam Aparam Adhinivesham’. He is the winner of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, Kerala Lalithakala Akademi Award, V K Unnikrishnan Award, and Gurudarshana Award.
