Piya Bahadur is the author of Road to Mekong: Four Women, Six Countries, 17,000 Kilometres – An Adventure of a Lifetime (2019) which recounts the journey of four women who rode 17, 000 kilometres on their motorbikes through six countries in Southeast Asia-from Hyderabad, through Myanmar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, along the river Mekong, and finally to Cambodia. Before the motorcycling bug bit her, she was Regional Officer at the US-India Education Foundation and had also worked at the Indian School of Business. She is currently working on her startup, which makes software to help small businesses, especially women-owned, run more efficiently.
