P F Mathews
Poovankery Francis Mathew is an Indian author of Malayalam literature and a screenplay writer in the Malayalam film and Television industries. He started to write short stories at the age of 16 and his short stories have been published in leading Malayalam publications like Malayala Manorama, Kalakaumudi, Mathrubhumi, Madhyamam and Bhashaposhini. His first short story anthology, Njayarazhcha Mazha Peyyukayayirunnu was published in 1986 by Current Books. He debuted in screenwriting with a documentary film, Keep the City Clean. He is a Winner of a National Film Award for Best Screenplay and multiple State television and other literary awards including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Novel. തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തും കഥാകൃത്തും നോവലിസ്റ്റും. 1960 ഫെബ്രുവരി 18ന് എറണാകുളത്ത് ജനനം. ഞായറാഴ്ച മഴ പെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു,ചാവുനിലം 2004ല്‍ ആലിസ് ,ഇരുട്ടില്‍ ഒരു പുണ്യാളന്‍, അടിയാളപ്രേതം,കടലിന്റെ മണം, മുഴക്കം തുടങ്ങിയ പുസ്തകങ്ങള്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കുട്ടിസ്രാങ്ക് ,ഈ.മ.യൗ.,അതിരന്‍ എന്നീ സിനിമകള്‍ക്ക് തിരക്കഥയൊരുക്കി. കേരളസാഹിത്യഅക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ്, തിരക്കഥയ്ക്കുള്ള ദേശീയ പുരസ്‌കാരം തുടങ്ങിയ പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
