P Sreeramakrishnan
P. Sreeramakrishnan is an Indian politician who served as the Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2016 to 2021. As Speaker of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, he adopted progressive methods to ensure public participation and boost the people's involvement in the legislative process. He is a recipient of the Pravasi Bharathi Award and the 2017 Bharat Jyothi Award for Best Speaker. His literary publications 'Atmiyata Kalapamakumbol', 'Janadhipathyam Samskaram Samakaleena Lokam' and 'Navothanam Nava janadhipathyam Nava Keralam', support his vision of a new democratic Kerala that strays from the traditional, dogmatic ideals followed by contemporary Kerala.
സി.പി.എം പാര്‍ട്ടി നേതാവ്. പതിനാലാം നിയമസഭയുടെ സ്പീക്കറായിരുന്നു. മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ പെരിന്തല്‍മണ്ണയില്‍ 1967 നവംബര്‍ 14-ന് ജനനം. ബാലസംഘത്തിലൂടെ തുടങ്ങി എസ്എഫ്‌ഐയിലൂടെയും ഡിവൈഎഫ്‌ഐയിലൂടെയും വളര്‍ന്നു വന്ന രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാരമ്പര്യമാണ് പി ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണന്റേത്. പട്ടിക്കാട് ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് ഹൈസ്‌കൂളിലെ പഠനകാലത്ത് എസ്എഫ്‌ഐ യൂണിറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി ആയി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ച ശ്രീരാമകൃഷ്ണന്‍ ഒറ്റപ്പാലം എന്‍.എസ്.എസ്. കോളേജിലും രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം തുടര്‍ന്നു. കോളേജ് പഠനകാലത്ത് എസ്എഫ്‌ഐ യൂണിറ്റ് സെക്രട്ടറിയായും കോളേജ് യൂണിയന്‍ ഭാരവാഹിയായും തുടര്‍ന്ന് എസ്എഫ് ഐയുടെ പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലാ പ്രസിഡന്റായും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നു. കാലിക്കറ്റ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിറ്റി യൂണിയന്‍ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍, സെനറ്റ് അംഗം, സിന്‍ഡിക്കേറ്റ് അംഗം എന്നീ പദവികളിലേക്കും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പൊന്നാനിയില്‍ നിന്ന് രണ്ട് തവണ എംഎല്‍എ.യായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
