Kalpatta Narayanan
Kalpetta Narayanan is an Indian novelist, literary critic, short story writer, essayist, columnist, and poet. He is well known for his works 'Ithramathram', 'Samayaprabhu', 'Ozhinja Vruskshachayayil', and 'Konthala'. He has been a recipient of many awards including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi award for Literary Criticism, the Basheer Award, and the VT Kumaran Award.
കവിയും നോവലിസ്റ്റും സാംസ്‌കാരിക നിരീക്ഷകനും. 1952-ല്‍ വയനാട്ടില്‍ കല്‍പ്പറ്റയില്‍ ജനനം. വേറിട്ട രചനാശൈലിയും അനുഭവലോകവും കല്‍പ്പറ്റയുടെ രചനകളെ വായനക്കാര്‍ക്ക് പ്രിയങ്കരമാക്കുന്നു. ഈ കണ്ണടയൊന്നുവെച്ചുനോക്കൂ, അവര്‍ കണ്ണുകൊണ്ടുകേള്‍ക്കുന്നു, ഒഴിഞ്ഞ വൃക്ഷച്ഛായയില്‍, കോന്തല, തത്സമയം, സമയപ്രഭു, കവിത, ഇത്ര മാത്രം, നിഴലാട്ടം - ഒരു സിനിമാ പ്രേക്ഷകന്റെ ആത്മകഥ തുടങ്ങിയവ പ്രധാനകൃതികളാണ്. വി.ടി.കുമാരന്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ്, എ.അയ്യപ്പന്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ്, പത്മപ്രഭാ പുരസ്‌കാരം,ബഷീര്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ് തുടങ്ങിയ പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് അര്‍ഹനായിട്ടുണ്ട്. കോഴിക്കോട് ഗവ. ആര്‍ട്‌സ് ആന്റ് സയന്‍സ് കോളേജില്‍ മലയാളം അദ്ധ്യാപകനായിരുന്നു.
