K. Sachitanandan
K. Satchidanandan is an Indian poet, critic and columnist. He is the president of Kerala Sahitya Akademi and former editor of Indian Literature journal. He is also a well-known speaker on issues concerning contemporary Indian literature and a social advocate for secular anti-caste views, supporting causes like environment and human rights. 'Anchu Sooryan', 'Ezhuthachan Ezhutumbol', 'Venal Mazha', 'Malayalam and Apoornam' are some of his famous publications. He has received many recognitions including Mahakavi Ullur Award, Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and Ezhutachchan Award.
അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര പ്രശസ്തനായ കവിയും എഴുത്തുകാരനും. 1946-ല്‍ തൃശൂര്‍ ജില്ലയിലെ കൊടുങ്ങല്ലൂരില്‍ ജനനം. നിലവില്‍ കേരളസാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമിയുടെ പ്രസിഡണ്ട്. കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമിയുടെ സെക്രട്ടറിയായും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അഞ്ചുസൂര്യന്‍, എഴുത്തച്ഛന്‍ എഴുതുമ്പോള്‍, സോക്രട്ടീസും കോഴിയും, വിത്തും വൃക്ഷവും, പല ലോകം പല കാലം, ഇല്ല വരില്ലിനി, ഇരുട്ടിലെ പാട്ടുകള്‍, സച്ചിദാനന്ദന്റെ കവിതകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയവ നിരവധി കൃതികള്‍. മഹാകവി ഉള്ളൂര്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം,കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ്, ഓടക്കുഴല്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം, കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്‌കാരം, എഴുത്തച്ഛന്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം തുടങ്ങിയ ഒട്ടേറെ അംഗീകാരങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
