K P Ramanunni
K P Ramanunni is a novelist and short story writer. He was awarded the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for his debut novel 'Sufi Paranja Katha'. The novel was made into a movie with the same name which Ramanunni wrote in its screenplay. The book has been translated into several languages including English and French. Some of his major publications are 'Daivathinte Pusthakam', which was awarded Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award, Charama Varshikam, Purusha Vilapam, and Pranayaparvam. He is also a recipient of the Vayalar award.
ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ ചെറുകഥാകൃത്തും നോവലിസ്റ്റും. 1955-ല്‍ കൊല്‍ക്കത്തയില്‍ ജനനം. മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലയിലെ പൊന്നാനി സ്വദേശി. ആദ്യ കഥാസമാഹാരം വിധാതാവിന്റെ ചിരി. ആദ്യ നോവല്‍ സൂഫി പറഞ്ഞ കഥ. കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി പുരസ്‌കാരം ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സൂഫി പറഞ്ഞ കഥ ഒമ്പത് ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് പരിഭാഷ ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ പുസ്തകം, വേണ്ടപ്പെട്ടവന്റെ കുരിശ്, പുരുഷവിലാപം, ജാതി ചോദിക്കുക, അവള്‍ മൊഴിയുകയാണ്, പുരുഷ വിലാപം, പ്രണയപര്‍വ്വം എന്നിവയാണ് മറ്റ് പ്രധാന കൃതികള്‍. കേന്ദ്ര സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡ്, വയലാര്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം തുടങ്ങിയ പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
