Jennifer Mackenzie
Jennifer Mackenzie is a poet based in Melbourne, Australia. She has a a longstanding interest in the history and culture of the Asian region. Her Borobudur (Transit Lounge 2009) (Lontar, Jakarta 2012) explores the region through the vision of Borobudur’s architect, as he travels through the ninth century Java, China and India. Jennifer has appeared at writers’ festivals and conferences throughout Asia, including the Ubud, Makassar and Irrawaddy festivals; her most a recent book is Navigable Ink (Transit Lounge 2020), a homage to the Indonesian writer, Pramoedya Ananta Toer.
