Dr. S Abhilash

Dr. Abhilash S is an acadamecian and meterologist from Kerala. He complete his Doctoral degree in Atmospheric Sciences from CUSAT and Started his scientific career as Senior Research Scientist at Flagstone Reinsurance Bermuda Pvt Ltd. He developed an indigenous coupled multi-model ensemble prediction system over the Indian region. Incorporated Doppler Weather Radar Observations in regional models to Improve the prediction of Convective Systems. He made an outstanding contribution to the design, development and implementation of operational forecasting systems. He is the recipient of the SAARC Scientist medal, the Indian Meteorological Society Award on Weather & Climate Services and the Best Young Faculty-Researcher Award. He has delivered more than 140 popular lectures related to weather & climate science and organized many national and international seminars and symposiums.
