Archil Kikodze
Writer and screenwriter Archil Kikodze is a critically acclaimed Georgian litterateur. His debut novel, The Southern Elephant (2016) traces a filmmaker’s solo journey through Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, that brings a reappraisal of his past and the city’s history. His second novel, Lizard on the Gravestone (2021), depicts the disastrous state of society left without values. Three times winner of the prestigious Saba Literary Award, his books were translated into seven languages. Apart from being a writer, Archil is also an actor, professional photographer, wildlife and ecotourism guide and birdwatcher. He also played the lead role in the prize-winning feature film Blind Dates and has also penned numerous film scripts.
സമകാലിക ജോര്‍ജിയന്‍ സാഹിത്യത്തിലെ പ്രമുഖനായ എഴുത്തുകാരന്‍. 1972-ല്‍ ടിബിലിസിയില്‍ ജനനം. നാല് ചെറുകഥാ സമാഹാരങ്ങളും ഒരു ലേഖനസമാഹാരവും. എ സ്റ്റോറി ഓഫ് എ ബേര്‍ഡ് ആന്‍ഡ് എ മാന്‍ എന്ന കൃതിക്ക് 2014ലെ മികച്ച കഥയ്ക്കുള്ള സബ പുരസ്‌കാരം. സ്പ്രിംങ് ഇന്‍ ജാവഖേത്തി എന്ന ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സഹഎഴുത്തുകാരനും ടിബിലിസി, ഐ ലവ് യു എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ തിരക്കഥാകൃത്തുമാണ്. കൂടാതെ ബ്ലൈന്‍ഡ് ഡേറ്റ്സ് (2013) എന്ന ഫീച്ചര്‍ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ പ്രധാന വേഷം ചെയ്തു. ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ നോവലായ ദി സതേണ്‍ എലിഫന്റ് 2017-ലെ മികച്ച നോവലിനുള്ള ഇലിയൂണി റൈറ്റേഴ്സ് ഹൗസ് ലിറ്റേറച്ചര്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം നേടി.
