Adoor Gopalakrishnan
Adoor Gopalakrishnan is an Indian film director, scriptwriter, and producer. He is one of the most recognized Indian film directors in world cinema. His films are made in the Malayalam language and often depict the society and culture of his native state Kerala. His debut film, the national award-winning Swayamvaram (1972) was a milestone in Malayalam film history. The film was exhibited widely in various international film festivals. Some of his notable works include Kodiyettam, Elippathayam, Vidheyan and Pinneyum. He has received several awards including Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan, Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and Sutherland Trophy.
ലോകസിനിമയില്‍ കേരളത്തെ അടയാളപ്പെടുത്തിയ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ സംവിധായകന്‍. പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ അടൂരില്‍ 1941 ജൂലൈ 3-ന് ജനനം. സ്വയംവരം, മതിലുകള്‍, വിധേയന്‍, കൊടിയേറ്റം, എലിപ്പത്തായം, അനന്തരം, നിഴല്‍ക്കുത്ത് തുടങ്ങിയ ഒട്ടേറെ സിനിമകള്‍ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്തു. സിനിമയുടെ ലോകം, സിനിമാനുഭവം, സിനിമ-സാഹിത്യം-ജീവിതം തുടങ്ങിയ കൃതികള്‍ രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പത്മശ്രീ പുരസ്‌കാരം, ദാദാസാഹിബ് ഫാല്‍ക്കെ പുരസ്‌കാരം, ദേശീയ- സംസ്ഥാന ചലച്ചിത്രപുരസ്‌കാരം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ നിരവധി പുരസ്‌കാരങ്ങള്‍ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
