A Hemachandran
A chemical engineer by education, graduated from government engg college Trissur in 1982. Began the career with Hindustan petroleum Corp in 1982. Passed the civil services examination 1985 and joined the Indian police service in 1986. Allotted to Kerala cadre. Held important assignments in law and order, intelligence ,crime branch et cetera. Retired as DGP in 2020.Also did a stint in the prestigious Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy which trains IPS officers.
He has visited world renowned police research and training institutions in UK and USA. Recipient of President‘s police medal for Meritorious service and President‘s police medal for Distinguished service. Acquired MBA in human resource management while in service.After superannuation he has been writing his experiences in police service in Samakalika Malayalam Vaarika. മുന് ഡി.ജി.പി. തൃശ്ശൂര് എഞ്ചിനിയറിങ് കോളേജില് നിന്ന് 1982-ല് കെമിക്കല് എഞ്ചിനിയറിങ്ങില് ബിരുദം. 1982-ല് ഹിന്ദുസ്ഥാന് പെട്രോളിയത്തില് നിന്ന് തൊഴില്ജീവിതം ആരംഭിച്ചു. 1985-ല് സിവില് സര്വ്വീസ് പാസ്സായി. 1986-ല് ഐപിഎസില് ചേര്ന്നു. കേരളകേഡറിലാണ് ഔദ്യോഗികജീവിതം ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. 2020-ല് ഡിജിപിയായി സര്വ്വീസില് നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ചു. വിശിഷ്ടസേവനത്തിന് പ്രസിഡണ്ടിന്റെ മെഡല് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
