YATINDRA MISHRA
Yatindra Mishra is a distinguished Hindi poet, author, and an eminent scholar of music and cinema. He has authored five celebrated poetry collections, including Yada-Kada, Ayodhya Tatha Anya Kavitayein, and his most recent work, Bina Kalinga Vijay Ke. Mishra is widely recognized for his authorized biographies of legendary artists, such as Lata Mangeshkar in Lata: Sur-Gatha and filmmaker Gulzar in Hazaar Rahein Mud Ke Dekheen. His literary repertoire also includes profound works on Ustad Bismillah Khan, Girija Devi, Sonal Mansingh, and Begum Akhtar.
Deeply rooted in his heritage, he edited the cultural gazetteer Shahernama Faizabad and documented the spiritual legacy of his hometown in Ayodhya: Parampara, Sanskriti, Virasat. His diverse contributions extend to translations, notably bringing the poems of 12th-century mystic Akka Mahadevi to Hindi readers. Mishra’s excellence in writing has earned him global acclaim, with his works translated into English, German, Urdu, and several Indian languages.
Throughout his career, he has received numerous prestigious honors, including the Bharat Bhushan Agarwal Smriti Puraskar and the International Vatayan Poetry Award in London. Notably, his book Lata: Sur-Gatha won six awards in a single year, including the 64th National Film Award (Swarna Kamal) for Best Writing on Cinema. He has frequently served as a Jury Member and Chairman for the National Film Awards and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Between 2014 and 2016, he served as a Cultural Advisor to Prasar Bharati and later edited the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s journal, Sangana. His writings are now a staple in academic curriculums across various Indian school boards and universities. Most recently, he conceptualized and curated the 50-day devotional concert series, Shri Ram Raag Sewa, at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. True to his roots as a devoted citizen of Ayodhya, he performed these significant cultural services for the temple pro bono. Today, Yatindra Mishra continues to travel the world, bridging the gap between traditional Indian performing arts and contemporary literature.
പ്രമുഖ ഹിന്ദി കവിയും എഴുത്തുകാരനും സംഗീത-സിനിമാ ഗവേഷകനുമാണ് യതീന്ദ്ര മിശ്ര. 'യദാ-കദാ', 'അയോധ്യ തഥാ അന്യ കവിതായേന്', അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ കൃതിയായ 'ബിനാ കലിംഗ വിജയ് കേ' തുടങ്ങി അഞ്ച് പ്രശസ്ത കവിതാ സമാഹാരങ്ങള് അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ലതാ മങ്കേഷ്കറുടെ ഔദ്യോഗിക ജീവചരിത്രമായ 'ലത: സുര്-ഗാഥ', ചലച്ചിത്രകാരന് ഗുല്സാറിന്റെ ജീവചരിത്രമായ 'ഹസാര് റാഹേന് മുഡ് കെ ദേഖീന്' എന്നിവയിലൂടെയാണ് മിശ്ര ഏറെ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായത്. ഉസ്താദ് ബിസ്മില്ലാ ഖാന്, ഗിരിജാ ദേവി, സോണല് മാന്സിംഗ്, ബീഗം അക്തര് എന്നിവരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ആഴത്തിലുള്ള പഠനങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സാഹിത്യ സംഭാവനകളില് ഉള്പ്പെടുന്നു.
സ്വന്തം പൈതൃകത്തില് അടിയുറച്ചു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം 'ഷഹര്നാമ ഫൈസാബാദ്' എന്ന കള്ച്ചറല് ഗസറ്റിയര് എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്യുകയും തന്റെ ജന്മനാടിന്റെ ആത്മീയ പൈതൃകം 'അയോധ്യ: പരമ്പര, സംസ്കൃതി, വിരാസത്' എന്ന പുസ്തകത്തിലൂടെ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ മിസ്റ്റിക് കവയിത്രി അക്ക മഹാദേവിയുടെ കവിതകള് ഹിന്ദി വായനക്കാരിലെത്തിച്ചതടക്കം വിവര്ത്തന രംഗത്തും അദ്ദേഹം സജീവമാണ്. മിശ്രയുടെ കൃതികള് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്, ജര്മ്മന്, ഉറുദു തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി ഭാഷകളിലേക്ക് വിവര്ത്തനം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ഭാരത് ഭൂഷണ് അഗര്വാള് സ്മൃതി പുരസ്കാരം, ലണ്ടനിലെ ഇന്റര്നാഷണല് വാതായന് പോയട്രി അവാര്ഡ് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി പ്രശസ്തമായ അംഗീകാരങ്ങള് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തേടിയെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ 'ലത: സുര്-ഗാഥ' എന്ന പുസ്തകം ഒരൊറ്റ വര്ഷത്തിനുള്ളില് ആറ് അവാര്ഡുകള് നേടി; സിനിമയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മികച്ച എഴുത്തിനുള്ള 64-ാമത് ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാര്ഡ് (സ്വര്ണ കമല്) ഇതില് പ്രധാനമാണ്. ദേശീയ ചലച്ചിത്ര അവാര്ഡുകളിലും ഇന്റര്നാഷണല് ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവല് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയിലും (IFFI) ജൂറി അംഗമായും ചെയര്മാനായും സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
2014 മുതല് 2016 വരെ പ്രസാര് ഭാരതിയുടെ സാംസ്കാരിക ഉപദേശകനായിരുന്ന അദ്ദേഹം സംഗീത നാടക അക്കാദമിയുടെ ജേണലായ 'സംഗന'യുടെ എഡിറ്ററായും പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. സി.ബി.എസ്.ഇ (CBSE) ഉള്പ്പെടെ വിവിധ ബോര്ഡുകളുടെയും സര്വ്വകലാശാലകളുടെയും പാഠ്യപദ്ധതികളില് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ രചനകള് ഉള്പ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അയോധ്യയിലെ ശ്രീരാമ ജന്മഭൂമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തില് നടന്ന 50 ദിവസത്തെ ഭക്തിഗാന കച്ചേരിയായ 'ശ്രീരാം രാഗ് സേവ'യുടെ ആശയവും ആവിഷ്കാരവും നിര്വ്വഹിച്ചത് അദ്ദേഹമാണ്. അയോധ്യയിലെ ഒരു ഭക്തനായ പൗരന് എന്ന നിലയില് തികച്ചും സൗജന്യമായാണ് (pro bono) അദ്ദേഹം ഈ സേവനങ്ങള് നിര്വ്വഹിച്ചത്. കലയെയും സാഹിത്യത്തെയും കൂട്ടിയിണക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് യതീന്ദ്ര മിശ്ര തന്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക യാത്ര ഇന്നും തുടരുന്നു.
