എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ അങ്കമാലി സ്വദേശിയാണ്. സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയില് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായിരുന്നു. ആനുകാലികങ്ങളില് കഥയും യാത്രാക്കുറിപ്പുകളും ലേഖനങ്ങളും എഴുതുന്നു. 11 പുസ്തകങ്ങള് പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. കെ.സി.ബി.സി. സാഹിത്യപുരസ്കാരം, വീരേന്ദ്രകുമാര് സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരം, ഫൊക്കാന സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്കാരം എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 42 വിദേശ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ സന്ദർശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
