About Mathrubhumi

Mathrubhumi has successfully straddled tradition and technology in embracing change from 1923 to our age of disruption evolving from letterpress to frontier technological advances without sacrificing the values bequeathed us by our founders who were freedom fighters and champions pioneering social reforms. Nine decades on and into the 21st century, we enrich the lives of people worldwide. Our integrated media house connects to people through our Daily, Events, Magazines, Online, Radio, Television and Books division. As a responsible corporate citizen we are wedded to the immutable principles of truth, equality and liberty.

We envision the festival as a celebration of our inherited syncretic culture to take forward the legacy of literature, words and its potency.
